Description
Obscure but one of the greatest 90’s melodic punk band is finally reissued! Marble was formed in mid-1993. The goal of the band was to combine a love for musically technical pop-punk like ALL/Descendents, Big Drill Car, Quit, and many others while paying homage to their prog and metal influences as well. The band played their first show as a 4 piece on August 9th, 1994, opening for Big Drill Car and Sensefield in Mankato, MN. Over the next 3+ years, they released a cassette, a split 7″ with Porcelain Boys from Minneapolis on Pop Kid Records out of New Jersey, and a full length CD, “Spinning Around” on Derek Grant from Suicide Machines/Alkaline Trio’s Old Skool Recordings out of Michigan. They also toured the US twice, appearing with the likes of Alligator Gun, Doc Hopper, Horace Pinker, Gameface, The Bouncing Souls, Weston, Suicide Machines, Brown Lobster Tank and countless others. Marble ultimately disbanded in the summer of 1997.For this reissue, the band decided to record the last two songs from their time in the 90’s that remained unrecorded in order to re-release Spinning Around with a few bonus tracks to represent the entirety of Marble’s catalog.
